Artistic Mold

A couple of months ago, I cleaned out the fridge and discovered a vibrant blue-green and white mold on some spaghetti sauce. Obviously, this container got shoved to the back of the fridge and wasn’t seen for a while. The mold against the red sauce makes for a striking and artistic contrast.     If you look at a closeup of the mold, you can see that it has a fuzzy, almost cottony texture.  …

Leaf Litter for Tiny Critters

We got a fair amount of snow in the Twin Cities metro yesterday. Judging by how much I shoveled off the deck, I’d say around 4 inches that was light and easy to move.
